Without knowing when you want to fly, it is hard to help you. Delta should have some flights into out and out Guam from Memphis but you may have to connect once in Detroit or Minneapolis and once in Tokyo. Go to http://www.delta.com.

Plane flight connections-Do rules allow getting on or off at any stop?
I 10 miles from Memphis, Tn and want to travel to Seattle. I am about 120 from Little Rock, Ar and a flight from Seattle is much cheaper from Little Rock. I have found a flight that originates from Little Rock, connects in Memphis then on to Seattle. Can I just board in Memphis? Same thing on return-flight stops in Memphis then on to Little Rock? Sure would be nice if I could.

If you fail to show up for any leg of a plane trip, the airline will automatically cancel the remainder of the trip. Also, if you have checked any luggage, you will not be able to retrieve it until the final destination. Not a good idea in any case.

You could walk out at MEM on your return, that would work fine. But outbound, if you don'tboard at LIT, you very likely will not be able to board at MEM.. Sorry.

Is 35 minutes enough time to connect flights at the Memphis International airport
Is 35 minutes enough time to connect flights at the Memphis International airport?
The departure time of my flight is only 35 minutes after the arrival time of my first flight. I will be on Northwest airlines!

It is cutting it close but as long as you are on time it should be okay. I have cut it closer at Atlanta.

yes. most of the time if a flight is gonna cut it close they will wait for the flight. Dont count on time to eat or go to the bathroom etc. but if the flight is on time you will have enough time. It will also make your travel day go by very quickly :)

I've only been to the airport twice and that was when I visited my best friend who moved to Memphis. If I remember correctly, I do not think the airport is HUGE. It is large but not huge like Charlotte International Airport(ugh I hate this airport). 35 minutes is not a lot of time for a person to catch their connection in any situation but it can be done, especially if your flight is not delayed. My suggestion would be to see if you can look at the terminal map of the Memphis International Airport so you can see exactly where you would need to go. If you are on time though, I think you will be alright.

Here's what you should do: before your flight, print out a picture, online, of the Memphis International Airport, that way you will know your way around when you arrive there. If you don't get lost, then you will definately make it on time! But print out that picture, know where your going, and you wont have any issues!

With only 35mins, you have no time to buffer if your flight is late or you are given a last row seat for your previous plane and the people in front of you moves are super slow speed. And Northwest isnt always on time..what if your flight is slightly late, like 10mins? It might not mean much to most people, but is crucial in your situation. Im sure you dont want to feel like you are in the amazing race. Besides, if everything goes smoothly, you might be left wondering whether they have enough time to move your luggage.

You didn't say were you are connecting on to and it depends on a number of things. If it is domestic to domestic and NW to NW you should be OK but if it is NW to another carrier probably not enough time. As well, if it is to an international flight for sure not enough. The other thing is that it depends how you booked this i.e. expedia etc. sometimes these sites give you the cheapest fares but the connections are legal. You should call NW and double check. Have a good trip!

My mother is wanting to become a flight attendent and we live in memphis, where could she beome certified?
Any help would do. If you can do the schooling any where in MS or TN that would be great. Please let me know how to get the information and everything i need to know. Thanks!!

Airlines train their own, and do now want anyone from some third party airline school. Those are a scam. First she has to be selected by an airline, then they will send her to their own training school. She will need enough money to live on for the duration of her training, as she won't get paid in that time. Employment will be conditional on her successfully completing her training.

Given the state of the commercial airlines and regional, I would highly suggest that you mom looks at Net Jets from Teteboro NJ or any corpoate jet opportunities

All flight attendant training schools are scams. The airlines train there own employees.(Since all most all airlines use different aircrafts and also have different safety procedures)The training normally takes 1 to 3 months depending on the airline. But you absolutely do not have to pay for your living expenses. Your mother will be put up in a hotel near the airlines hub. She will have to pay for food. But lodging and transportation are provided. The first step to obtaining a Flight Attendant position is: -1. Go on-line to different airlines websites (Delta, AirTran, United, Southwest, Northwest, AA, Continental. etc) check and make sure your mom meets all the requirements ( Height, weight, strength, second language, criminal background. etc) -2. Fill out on-line application. (since all airlines now start the process this way) -3. Wait for the series of interviews most airlines have at least two. -4. Make sure mom has a valid passport, *can lift 50-70lbs over her head, *make sure all medications she is taking won't interfere with her job. (get dr's note) *Can bend down and reach the ground Good Luck and I hope this helps.
