cheap tickets from germany to memphis?
i have looked at a million sites for cheap airline tickets... farecast.com, cheaptickets.com, expedia.com, kayak.com, cheapoair.com, farecompare.com, and a few others that dont deal with flights from places other than the us... i need 2 adult tickets and 1 childrens ticket.. age2... from FRA.. frankfurt germany to MEM memphis tennessee leaving on Jan 18th 2008 and returning on feb 1 2008... thank you all so much... if you dont wanna look it up for me just give me some other web sites to use.. i have also looked at the different sites for each airline like AA and etc. please please help

seating arrangements for my trip
seating arrangements for my trip?
I'm leaving on a round trip from Memphis to Washington, DC. I will land in Atlanta where I have to catch my connecting flight.. My ticket is ordered online, so do I need to make ALL my seating arrangements at Memphis before I leave? for both my flights, including my connecting plane?

hi yes its convenient and will allow you if you know the place to sit in a good seat pick aether a window seat or usually about row g is right by a door so you will have a lot of space

Most don't preassign seats unless you call and specifically ask for a certian seat. Most seats are assigned when you check in. The earlier you check in the better the seat assignment. Keep in mind that the 'good' seats-exit rows, bulkhead, and seats near the front-are usually blocked out for frequent fliers. This doesn't mean you can't get one of these seats, just that they're more likely to go to a passenger who flies that airline regularly.

You don't NEED to make all of your seating arrangements, but I would highly recommend you do so. You should be able to go to the airline's website and choose your seats. Before you do, though, check out http://www.seatguru.com/ - it will tell you the best and worst seats on every airplane. You should be able to tell what type of plane you are flying on by going to the airline website and checking out your flight.

Heck why wait? Call the airline you are flying on and ask the representative to assign your seats in advance so that it's even less stress on the day you travel.

Where do I clear U.S. Customs on return from MoBay
Where do I clear U.S. Customs on return from MoBay?
I'm getting conflicting info on where I clear Customs on my return flight from Montego Bay to Memphis. Is there U.S.Customs clearance in Sangster International, or will I clear in Memphis? Please, I'd like to hear from people who've made the trip recently, and really know. Thanks, but the first answer is precisely what I want to avoid. Please, if you've flown out of MoBay to the US recently, let me know where you cleared.

I doubt very much that they have a US customs in Jamaica. That will be in Memphis since that is where you are getting off.

You will clear US customs once you get off the plane in the US. They are located in the international terminal. If your flight has another leg you will have to recheck your luggage at the proper terminal once you clear customs. *Be prepared to wait in line for 5 minutes- over an hour since they don't always have a ton of staff on duty.

I am also going to make this journey in a couple months from MoBay to Memphis. Everything I have read states that you will go through customs when you get into the states. I am changing planes in Miami and that is where we will clear customs

Is it possible to travel as a passenger on any FedEx Cargo Flights
Is it possible to travel as a passenger on any FedEx Cargo Flights?
I travel to Memphis quite often and have heard that there are some limited options to travel as a passenger on FedEx cargo flights. Does anyone know if this is a real possibility or if I've just seen "Castaway" too many times?!

if you worked for fedex you use to be able to but not anymore you can thank Auburn Calloway for taking away that benefit he tried to hijack a DC 10 and his plan to have it crash into the Memphis hub since that time only the crew of that airplane can fly on Fedex aircraft

the local fedex stations employees in So Cal were asking the same question to the FedEx president of the western United States and his answer was no. He stated that the reason was because of 9/11.
