Is this a Major Problem???
Im flying nxt wk from Moline quad cities to Laguardia. My first flight leaves at 4 30 PM from moline to memphis and then i have a 30 min wait time before the next flight to LGA, but i was told that many of the departing flights from moline end up leaving 1- 1 1/2 hours late. Is that true?? And if so and i do end up missing the connecting flight, whats going to happen. I get to memphis around 7 30 and if i miss the NY flight they might not have another one, will i have to spend the night at the airport and wait for a mornin one, or will i be accomodated to another airport??

Since, it is same airline that you arrive in at Memphis and depart from Memphis, you should not have that much of a problem. If you have already bought the ticket, it may be too late to change now. However, I suggest you talk to one of their representatives. Airlines may not offer any complimentary hotel stay these days, you have to ask for it. At the most they give on their own is food coupons. If there is a later flight/route that you can possibly take, ask for the same now or when you get to Memphis. when making connecting flights, one should have at least an hour to get to your next flight. 30 mins is a short time but it's going to be a problem if you will miss your next flight. better check with the airline if they have next flight to NY after the 7:30. if they don't, you have to stay overnight at the airport and the airline who's responsible for your missing your connecting should pay for your hotel. always ask questions to your airline representative before getting on that flight. you can also log on to Flight Stats and check that city if the rumors of delay flights are true. good luck!
